Upper Link Tower

I've been working a lot with my buddy Ben on the new tower design. Without his help I'd just be using Kentucky windage.. Reason for the change is with the steering ram mounted mounted to the rear of the axle it has to pass the clevis and tie rod through the upper link tower on the left side of the rig.

This is a front shot showing the coilover location when the left side is at full bump when the other side is at full droop. Worst case scenario for clearance.
Looking to the left side from the center of the axle. Shot shows the ram passing through the tower.

Rear looking forward. Again the clevis/tie rod are sitting inside of the tower.

Fuel Smell

Fell cell showed up yesterday. I decided to abandon the cell I was building to save some time and free up that area for the radiator.

Rock Equipment sway bar

Nice aluminum arms. Waiting on some laser cutting to get this guy mounted.

22 gallon cell sits nicely between the air bumps and shock tower

I need to build a platform for it to sit on 2.5" about the from since the upper link mounts come up above the frame at full stuff

Front Bumps

The front bumps are finally installed. I did a lot of head scratching and with the steering in front side traditional location I wasn't sure where to mount the bumps. I an older post I had some mock ups of ideas but didn't really like them.

Axle ready to go back under the rig

Only about .500" of clearance between the bump pad and winch tray at full stuff

Hyrdo changes

Chopped off the frame side panhard mount. It will be moved to the front side. The axle side mount will be rotated as far forward as the winch tray allows.

Orbital mocked up

Tight fit with the master cylinders

Pretty direct linkage

Full Hydro

Didn't build anything tonight. Installed the P.O.S. steering pump and mocked up the ram

Not much room!!

The mounting brackets are really close to the balancer; ~.500"

Moved the axle forward 1.5" more to make room for the ram in the back. I think it's at 97.5" wheel base now, almost a 10" stretch from stock!

Soon to be home of the steering res/filter
