Motor mounted

Got the motor mounted yesterday! Started by building some frame mounts for the OEM mounts to attach to. Would have been pretty easy to make a poly bushing mount but they vibrate like crazy. OEMs are prone to failure but can be modified to work well. I'll post pics when I do this later.

Plating

Top piece welded

Welded to frame

Other side
Gussets underneath
Finished mount (for now, I'll fully weld everything when the frame is stripped back down later)
Top plate weld
Header that came with donor truck. Wouldn't have bought it but it'll work.

Motor installed

This was nice to see. My CAD models didn't account for steering angle so I wasn't sure how much room I would have. PLENTY! Now I can outboard the links without tire rub!

With the drivetrain elevated for a "flat belly" the transfer case just barely sticks into the cab. I'll make a bulged panel to enclose it.

Everything is tucked up nice except the front output of the t-case. I'm probably going to get a clocking ring from Marlin to rotate this up out of the way.
Driveline angle is about 18 deg. Not too bad but it's short at about 21"

Just a side shot

I'm going to build a cross member and get the link installed for the rear axle next.

39 days..
